I came across this video from Fstoppers.com and thought it was definitely something to pass on. For the most part, Photoshop has been and still is the industry standard, but if you’re anything like me and have a tendency to root for the underdog, this video tutorial is for you. In it, Michael Woloszynowicz uses Phase One‘s imaging software, Capture One Pro 8 to retouch a portrait from start to finish.
“Since I’ve started using Capture One, it served primarily as a raw preparation tool and still completed all my retouching inside of Photoshop. As I began getting more and more familiar with it, along with the recent release of Version 8, I began to discover just how much can be done within it without having to resort to Photoshop at all. This tutorial is meant to give you a framework for more in-depth portrait retouching and show you just how powerful Capture One’s local adjustment tools can be.”
Be sure to read the full article here, where Woloszynowicz summarizes his recommended workflow when using Capture One Pro 8.
